Fun Things To Do In Toronto
As the economic and cultural heart of Canada, Toronto is a metropolitan hub for people from around the world. In fact, over half of its current residents were born outside of the country. With over 2.5 million people, and sitting in a greater metro area of millions more, Toronto has plenty of things to do for people of all walks of life. This town is a center for culture, dining, sport and fun for the millions of people in the surrounding area - fun things to do in Toronto are not in short supply. A few of the must-sees in the city are:
The CN Tower
The tallest free standing structure in North America, and formerly the tallest free standing structure on the planet, this tower quite literally dominates the cityscape. Standing taller than 500 meters, it is impossible to miss. A trip to this city just wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the top. There is a great exhibition, a nice revolving restaurant, and a glass floor for those brave enough to walk out onto the glass and peer down. The view is breathtaking, and you can even see as far as New York State on a clear day.
Take in a Leafs game
Hockey is the lifeblood of the nation, and Toronto fans can be rabid at times. Head on down to the Air Canada Centre and check out the city’s historic franchise, the Maple Leafs. The team is still good these days, but they were unstoppable in their heyday. Torontonians love the team, and you will be able to tell pretty quickly just how crazy people go for this game. If you like basketball, you can also check out a Toronto Raptors game at the same stadium!
The Distillery District
One of the greatest things about going to a new city is just taking the day to stroll around and check out all of the cool new things that you haven’t seen before. Toronto is great for this. The beaches, the shops, the skyscrapers, and restaurants all add to the ambiance of the city. No place is better than the Distillery District, though. Formerly a section of town for the distillation of alcohol, the area is now a pedestrian-only village dedicated to the arts. Check out some of the artsy cafes, and spend the day perusing the things on display.
Toronto is a massive multicultural city, so don’t consider this list exhaustive. It is just a few of the fun things to do in Toronto. We know that our archery game is one of the fastest growing things to do in the local area, but there are still plenty of other great things to do in this town. If you want to break a sweat, you know where to go!
